NOx production and elimination
Boška, Michal ; Jecha, David (referee) ; Chlápek, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deal with production and elimination emission of nitrogen oxides their influence for animated and inanimate nature and their characteristic. Main part of thesis is theoretic analysis of creation mechanisms in combustion suits and description most widely used method of elimination nitrogen oxides. Part of thesis deal with problems concerning of nitrogen oxides at legislation at Czech Republic.
Measurement of greenhouse gas concentrations
Dohnal, Jan ; Novák, Vítězslav (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This semester thesis deals with the greenhouse effect, various gases and methods of measurement. On the greenhouse effect is viewed from its historical dating, despite changes in atmospheric composition and reactions of individual institutions. It contains a theoretical analysis of the individual gases. It focuses on the most harmful greenhouse gases such as water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, ozone, chlorofluorocarbons and halons. Analysis methods for detection of gaseous substances. Part of this work is focus on the detection of nitrogen dioxide and chloro-fluorocarbon. The data is processed using a microcontroller and then sent to an Internet server thingspeak.com. If the device proves successful, will be used as a laboratory exercise in the course Ecology in electronics.

The use of nitrous oxide to increase the performance parameters of an SI engine
Dobeš, Tomáš ; Bazala, Jiří (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This scientific article focuses on the use of nitrous oxide as an additive to fuel for improving the performance parameters of a spark-ignition engine. The results of experiments show that adding nitrous oxide to the fuel-air mixture can improve combustion and thus the performance of the engine. The benefits include increased power, reduced nitrogen oxide emissions, and improved combustion efficiency. However, it is also necessary to consider possible negative effects, such as increased nitrogen oxide formation at high temperatures. Overall, the use of nitrous oxide as an additive to fuel can bring significant improvements in the performance of a spark-ignition engine if used with caution and in accordance with relevant standards and guidelines
Analýza očekávaných změn množství vzdušných imisí nad územím České republiky v souvislosti s COVID-19
Kotrle, Viktor
This work analyses changes in annual and monthly concentrations for 2019 and 2020 in the Czech Republic. The focus is mainly on the search for changes related to government regulations during the Covid-19 epidemic and thus the overall change in human activity. The analysis is designed in two parts, namely a statistical analysis part and a spatial analysis part over the immission model. Measurements from the stationary stations of the CHMI were used as input data.
The climate in the classroom - physical parameters
MAŇÁSKOVÁ, Lenka
The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate a working environment in the classroom. The following parameters have been evaluated: noise, lighting, temperature, odours and gases in the air such as ammonia, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and methane. Measured values were compared with the legislation limits. Altogether 19 schools from South Bohemia Region were involved in the project.

Emise skleníkových plynů ve vztahu k mikrobiální aktivitě a obsahu živin arktických půd
HAJŠMANOVÁ, Klára
The aim of this study was to understand the link beween greenhouse gasses emissions (CH4 and N2O) microbial activity and nutrient content in soil from different types of soil in Svalbard. Warming can cause release of large amounts of carbon and nitrogen in form of greenhouse gasses from soil into the atmosphere. This might strengthen the greenhouse effect and thus global climate change. We measured release of greenhouse gases from soil. At the same time, soil sampling was conducted at five different localities in August in the years 2014 and 2015. Soils were found to have low nutrient content and unfavourable C/N ratio to support vegetation growth. Areas were not a significant source of emissions of greenhouse gasses from soil to the atmosphere.
